The 41st Congress of the German Sociological Association will take place from 26/09/2022 to 30/09/2022 at Bielefeld University.

Check-In and Registration
The congress Check-In and registration desk is located in the main university building (Universitätsstraße 25, 33615 Bielefeld) and is open on Tuesdays from 8 am. Here you will receive all congress documents.
For the opening event on 26.9.2022 you can conveniently use the check-in in the Stadthalle Bielefeld. New registrations are not possible on this day.

Participants in the workshops and publisher events (https://kongress2022.soziologie.de/fach-und-verlagsausstellung) can use the Check-In at the Stadthalle on Monday or at the main university building from Tuesday morning.

 We recommend that you arrive early, as the first few days of the congress are likely to be very busy. The Check-In is open daily until 16:45.

Congress and CoVid
CoVid is unfortunately not over, so we would like to ask you to be sensitive and attentive regarding the safety of others and yourself against corona. If possible, please take a Corona test before your presentation and wear a medical mouth-nose covering during congress. This is not compulsory, but we strongly recommend it to minimise the risk of infection.
You will also find a test centre on the grounds of Bielefeld University, directly behind the university canteen in Building X. We will be happy to provide you with an FFP2 mask at check-in.
Furthermore, we want to make sure that you can attend all events as risk-free as possible. Therefore, there are parallel streams to other Lecture Halls for the lunch and evening lectures, as well as plenary events and AmCs. We also ventilate rooms on a regular basis.

Opening event
The congress will ceremonially start on 26 September 2022 in the Stadthalle Bielefeld (Willy-Brandt-Platz 1, 33602 Bielefeld). This is a few minutes' walk from Bielefeld Main Station.
Check-in is possible from 15:30 and there will be no sale of day tickets on this day! If you have not purchased a congress ticket in advance, you will unfortunately not be able to attend the opening event.

Buy congress party tickets?
The famous Congress Party on 28.09.2022 at the Hechelei (Ravensberger Park 6, 33607) is unfortunately already sold out. However, all those who did not get tickets still have the chance to get a ticket on Wednesday, 28.09.2022! Unclaimed tickets will go on sale again on 28/09/2022 at 2pm. The sale will take place at the registration and check-in counter.
